Primary words and how to be clear when presenting

On primary words and being real

I came across the phrase ‘primary words’ recently. They are words that say what they mean and say it immediately.

We need to be using them.

For example, I could say that you are perhaps having some auditory difficulty in perceiving my attempts to achieve communication with you

Of course, you understand the words and so will your audience. But my guess is that you needed time (a nanosecond) to stop and think about the word auditory. And then I didn’t give you that time but added more words that needed a second for translation. So my words become meaningless.

If I continue like this, you’ll stop listening.

Instead, I could say, ‘ are you struggling to ‘get’ what I’m saying?’

Primary words. Use them.

Be clear.
