Or who can forget that infamous scene from Monty Python’s Flying Circus where the overweight and greedy diner Mr Creosote eats monstrous amounts of food and then after some pleading by the waiter accepts the tiny waver thin after-dinner mint and spectacularly explodes?
You know I sometimes feel that some presenters force feed their audiences with so many facts and figures, so many messages and so much information, so many slides and visuals and activity…that the audience sit there , stuffed and fit to burst like Mr Creosote! And it only takes one too many slides, one tiny overload of information or yet another message for us to explode…and lose everything. Too much information means your audience take little away with them except indigestion!
Many moons ago there was an advert for a small hatchback. The strap line was ‘ less is more’. This would be a valuable strap line for many a presenter I believe. Put less in and make what you do put in clear and concise.
If I can help you in designing and delivering presentations that put across your message clearly and confidently then call me on 07946604859 or email on email@example.com.
